Introduction

Thank you for choosing to enter into this little contract with me where you open your heart to be a witness to what my heart so desperately needs to share. I have spent the last 25 years trying to erase what the world does to a soul after it innocently enters into this world. There has been a lot of trial and error but ultimately, it all came together to make my life happier and to bring this project to fruition. I hope that I can bring what I learned over that 25 years to you in a form that will only take 31 days to put you on a much happier path. I know that is ambitious but I have confidence.  

Who Gets To Be Happy:
I know far too many people who believe that being unhappy is a byproduct of life and that they have no control over it. Let me say as nicely as I can that is a load of bullshit.

When I was a small child my grandmother teased me because whenever she told me something I’d almost always say, “yeah but.” She said one day I was going to “yeah but” myself to death. Don’t let that happen to you when I say anyone can be happy.

Some of the happiest people in the world are happy despite terrible circumstances. There are folks with less money, who live under terrible conditions and are in worse health than you and they are happy. Happiness is a decision.


I don’t want to get into the details of my life in a blog post. It would take far too long. If you want you can read about them in my book you will find on it’s own tab at the top of the Soul Pony blog. I will say, that I have not had the most smooth path in life, yet I am happy. That kind of makes me an expert. I’m just saying I know a few things about it.


The problem with not being happy begins when you put on that first layer of believing you have no control over it. You probably grew up in an environment that fostered this belief. You kept adding layers when something happened that seemed to back up this theory that you have no control. Pretty soon it’s like you are wearing multiple layers weighing you down and holding you in that notion. You don’t know how it feels to be naked and not bear the weight of all your coats. You are going to need to strip ‘em all off like refinishing a piece of furniture.


If you believe you are not responsible for your own happiness it’s not going to go away overnight. You are going to have to prove to yourself you can find your own happiness.

The greatest tool in your arsenal is just making that initial decision that you are going to be happy. Make that affirmation and you’ll be on your way.

Let me just go ahead and talk about what I hope to help accomplish here. I hope when we get to the end of this process we will have found who we truly are under the tons and tons of debris brought on us by being a living being in a less than perfect world. 

We will start the process by posing this question to you. Have you ever, in your life, been taught a wrong thing either by a well meaning person or someone deliberately misleading you? Have your parents, grandparents, siblings, uncles, aunts, teachers, neighbors, friends, community leaders or anyone you have ever looked up to ever taught you anything that turned out later to be incorrect? Do you think that any of those folks I just named ever had anyone teach them a wrong thing? How many generations back do you think that their misinformation goes? 

If you believe, as I do, that you have been misinformed many times throughout life then you have to understand that you may not know a lot of truth. Potentially everything you know could be wrong but I know for sure some of it definitely is. These things are the basis for how our world can be so far on opposite sides and how we still believe, even if others disagree, that we are the one who is right. You can believe so strongly that you know without a doubt and still just know someone else's misinformation that they passed down to you. It happens generation after generation and no one ever thinks twice about it. There are strains and veins of all forms of wrong all over the planet that someone somewhere believes so self righteously to be true. When I say to you over and over in my videos and Soul Pony blog post that we know nothing, this is the nothing I am referring to. 

So, what do we do about being misinformed and how do we move forward with sifting through what we may or may not know for sure. That my friends is exactly why we will come together here. We are going to try to figure it all out. We are going to dissect the many parts of ourselves until we are left with only our intuition. We will learn to follow that intuition to help us learn to perceive right from wrong just by the way it feels. We will begin to think for ourselves without the cloud of misinformation we've had hanging over our heads. We are gonna try to get back to that sweet clean slate we were before we were wrongly taught that anything other than being perfectly who we are meant to be at birth and seeing peace, love and beauty in every soul is all that we know. And that goes doubly for our own individual souls.

I will put out a new set of exercises every day and at the end of the 31 days it will all be available here in one place to allow you to take as much time as you want. You can come here each day for your next exercise, skip a  day or just wait until it is all posted. You can choose your own experience. 

Some exercises will speak to you more and you may want to explore them longer and some exercises may not interest you at all. Keep in mind that your resistance to an exercise could signal work that needs to be done. This could be the reason for your reluctance. Those exercises might actually be the ones that you should push yourself to do. There is no wrong way to finish this class. It will work for you the way it needs to if you just do what feels right and good to you.

At times you will open a lesson and find that I have just linked you to another site or someone else's video. If I feel the work as been done on a topic that is far better than anything I have to offer you, we are gonna use it here. I want us to consult the experts. If someone has taken the time to research a subject that we need to do work on for this course, I will refer you to that expertise. I don't want to take credit for someone else's work and the best way to not do that is to use the actual work from it's source. 

There are a few things that I think will be helpful to have for this class. Here is the list:
1.      a notebook/journal of your choosing - I love spiral bound (they lay flat and bend in half easily)
2.      writing tools obviously 
3.      a yoga mat
4.      scented candle or incense
5.      computer, tablet or smart phone
6.      self & nail care products - facial masks manicure/pedicure set
7.      baking soda
8.      towel
9.      lotion or body oil
10. an alarm you can keep with you - ,maybe use your phone's alarm

You can complete this class without any of the things listed above minus having a way to view this class. Having these tools available for the lesson when needed will insure you get the most benefit because this class is all about you and giving yourself the gift of every exercise should provide you with more comfort than you've ever had in one month. 

Although each day will bring a new exercise on the "soul class' tab, there are few things I'd like for you to try to practice everyday along with that day's exercise. We will call them "everyday exercises" and they will be on their own tab at the top of the site for easy access. Here is the list: 

1.  Meditate - at least 3 minutes each day (you can sit still and listen to music for this as well) 
2.  Internal Expansion - 10 seconds - I usually remember to do this when I'm in the shower * see note/explanation on the Everyday Exercises tab.
3.  Deep Breathing - take at least 5 deep breaths 3 times throughout the day - set an alarm on your phone to remind you
4.  At the end of the day list 3 things in your journal that you are grateful for even if it feels like you have no reason to feel grateful

One last note:    Keep in mind when you follow along with the exercises/lessons in this course, that I am no expert at doing any of this. The people reading this that know me well may have just rolled their eyes at that comment, knowing full well how true that statement really is. I know these lessons inside and out but knowing does not mean I always follow what I know. I will be doing this course right along with you for this month and I will strive to follow it everyday I live. It's part of the human condition that we aren't perfect. So, I'll have days I get it right and a lot of days I'll get it very wrong. We are all in the same boat on that one. So now with all that being said...
